We have known Lillian for over 10 years. Her Mom, Dad and other family members died of Aids. Since she was a little girl she lived with her Aunt and eight cousins. We have sponsored her and helped her go to school. Recently, she finished school and returned to her village. She mentioned that the there are no nets in her house which makes her and her cousins susceptible to Malaria, a deadly disease.
She wrote this information below to help better understand the serious issue.
"Malaria is one of the dangerous diseases in Africa. It endangers the lives of pregnant women, unborn children and young lives too. In Africa, Malaria is very common and one can easily be infected if they do not sleep under treated mosquito nets. There is no vaccine for Malaria in Africa, it can only be prevented by use of treated mosquito nets.
Many families in my village are poverty stricken and therefore cannot afford buying the mosquito nets, this leaves them no option but to face the disease and they cannot afford medicine. Distribution of mosquito nets in my village will help give hope to young kids and pregnant women and help them live a healthy and hopeful life. It takes two to eradicate diseases and in the end you will have Moved to Matter to our village! God bless you."

At Move to Matter, we plan to fund 80 nets at $10 per net so all people in her village can be protected and safe! Please go to our Get Started page to donate this project. At the time of funding we will follow the program and have verifiable pictures and results!
